Are You Ready To Contribute To Any Famous Blog As A Guest Blogger?

From the past few years, people are trying hard to carry their writing skills to get featured on the different blogs.

But there are a few bloggers who are really good with the guest blogging.

Let me point out some points which can make you realize that you’re not ready to write guest posts for anyone.

#1. Are You Qualified?

There are thousands of writers and every one of them is trying hard to reach the level of a professional writer.

Well, for a guest blog, are you the blogger who can vow your readers? It’s all about how you present yourself.

Can you manage your reader’s engagement?

To be a guest blogger, you should have the skills which can give you 100% results.

Most of the bloggers are not from the English background and that’s where they are lacking in. Many countries don’t have English as their native language from where you should embrace your writing skills.

Haven’t you heard of the power of practice? Well, keep practicing and try to embrace your skills.

#2. You Don’t Know How To Interact.

Before you jump in the guest blogging world, you should know that you’re going to come across a different audience.

All the blog authors expect their guests to have a friendly conversation with their readers. And if you can’t do that then sorry, you’re not ready for guest blogging.

People want someone who can make them feel like home. Don’t you feel good when someone reciprocates to your comments?

The readers are sensitive and you should be that person who can handle their emotions.

#3. You Are In the Rejection List.

This may sound odd but the truth is that bloggers don’t really into easy going decisions.

Maybe you’re in their rejection list. Every blog has its guest post guidelines and if you violating and you get rejected.

There are many guest post offer mistakes people make which directly send them into a black zone.

Before you even think about sending a guest post request, you should go through if the blog owner is accepting the guest posts or not.

Don’t just through a bunch of article in the face. Be patient and show some professionalism. Maybe you can first ask them.

#4. You Don’t Have A Good Reputation.

Most of the blog owners consider the guest blogger who is known in the blogosphere. No one wants an anonymous person to feature on the blog.

Would you accept a guest post request if someone from an unknown world sends you an email?

The first thing is to build your reputation.

  • Meet some bloggers.
  • Comment on their blogs.
  • Share their content.
  • Engage in a few conversations.

After having a human relationship with the blog owners, your chances of getting accepting would increase.

And if you can’t do that then you’re not ready for guest blogging.

#5. You’re A Quickie Person.

Have you ever realized that in this blogosphere, people have been working hard for a long time? Then how can you expect to be the best in a few months?

Guest bloggers are accepted only if they have a strong positive vibe for their future.

No blogger would allow someone who writes for a few days. The post will be live forever for which, every blog author searches for the long lasting connection.

If you can’t be that person then you’re not ready.

#6. You Can’t Handle Rejection.

I have tried so hard to write guest posts for many blogs and I was rejected many times. But you know what, I never gave up.

I tried again and again and it’s my time that people are offering me guest posts.

The thing is that if you can’t handle the rejections and give up trying then you’re not ready for guest blogging. Never lose hope.

Send some new blog post ideas to the famous bloggers. You will have your sugar some day.

Many people never visit the blog from which they get rejected. I mean who does that?

You’re not a kid now. Grow up and show your potential.

#7. You Don’t Utilize An Opportunity.

A few bloggers ditch the blog owners after getting accepted. You may have experienced that a few guest bloggers never show up again after getting featured.

Is this a game where you try to impress a girl so that you can have a date with her and leave her just after that?

It’s not a game show where you pretend to be the kind-hearted person. And after the show, people realize that you’re the most pretentious person they have ever met.

Have some respect for yourself and never try to pretend. Whether you ask for a guest post or after getting accepted.

Be an original version of yourself.

Do People Still Think That You’re Not Ready For Guest Blogging?

You will get many chances to show your skills but if you don’t have any then no one can do anything.

The first thing is to embrace your skills and then send a guest post request.

Are you afraid that you will get rejected? Can you handle the rejection? If you can’t then you’re ready for guest blogging.

Consider every point and try to learn from your mistakes. Guest blogging is one of the leading opportunities to get more exposure to your blog.

Read, connect, ask, face rejections, try again and win the trophy.

  1. Hey Ravi,

Before you get started, make sure you are clear about what you are looking to get out of the guest blogging experience. This will help you find businesses that you may be interested in blogging for and also give you an idea of some guest bloggers you would like invite to post on your business’s blog. These great points will be very helpful to guide people in positive way regarding guest blogging.

    With best regards,

    1. Hi Amar,

No doubt that guest blogging can bring a hell lot of traffic to your blog.

But the thing is how are you going to utilize the opportunity? What are the wrong things you’re doing which are not letting to get accepted by anyone?

Building human relationships is the first thing you should do.
      Thanks for stopping by.

  2. Hi Ravi,

Guest blogging is not something I’ve done extensively, but I have done it enough to know it does indeed help you build relationships with people. And you do get introduced to new readers.

I think though that the site and its audience needs careful consideration before you spend time creating a post. Is the audience potentially a good fit for you? Will it be worth your time?

These are questions that take some time as you visit the site, comment, and get to know the blogger and the community. Much better to start out that way than approach a blog owner cold and ask them if you can guest post.

    1. Hey Matthew,

People are continuously seeking for the guest post opportunities. But as you have mentioned, it’s important to analyze the blog before you even ask for the guest post.

You should think about the writing goals for the different audience.
Before you send a guest post request, it’s important to have a perfect plan about the content.

Thanks for taking the time to share your views.

  3. Hi Ravi
you have good points here. I had one guest on my blog who did not show up to answer the comments and disappeared.
This is not a good way. Also, there are many who ask per an email I never heard of them before, this is also not a good way.
How can I trust them? These are some points and you have some more which have to be considered.
    Good to think about.
    Thank you
    Erika

    1. Hey Erika,

You’re absolutely right. How can you accept the guest post request from a person you have never seen before?

The first step is to build the relationships and then ask for the guest posts.

I get so many guest posts requests but I don’t even know those people.

      Thanks for sharing your experience.

  4. Hi Ravi,

A wise list to check that you put together. There are so many people that want to guest blog for the sole purpose of getting noticed. I know…they are in my in box every day lol. That you have explained so well in #5.

One has to follow a certain procedure to ask to guest blog. If you know the person, you might be half way there. It is important that it is clear that the guest has to answer comments. If not, they won’t get that juice they are after. This all comes after the question “Do you know how to interact” because it is a major part in being a guest. You are there not to be a “quickie” as you call it (brilliant) but rather to engage with new people.

You sure have done a great job with this my friend.

    -Donna

    1. Hey Donna,

From the past few years, I got to know that people are really eager to get featured. Everyone is after publicity.

Just like you, I have checked 6 guest post requests today. And I don’t know even one of them.

Making connections with the audience is really important. No one would like a guest author come and go.
      Thanks for putting the value.
      ~Ravi

  5. Hi Ravi

And finally you are day dreaming that one day after talking alone in your own room someone from the next room would come to you and said O me lord why don’t you do this mad talking coming to my room. Lolz.

Actually many bloggers think by keep posting on their own blog one day the whole world would become their big fan. It will but not of their blogging skills and may be of their madness to talking alone or to a few listeners.

This is the strength of your powerful arguments in this post that made me start my comments so emotionally you might be thinking if I gone mad while reading it.

Guest posting is one of the untapped potentials of blogging and very few people know how important it is and those who know actually don’t do it and are waiting for best time to come and you know, me know best time never comes. It is we who can make any time the best time of our life by fully availing it.

Thanks for sharing such a thought-provoking post and I bet no one would defer his guest posting plan after reading it.

    1. Hey Muba,

I totally got what you wanted to say in the starting.

No one would come to you to feed the cream, you have to make your own. There is a hell lot of blogger list which can be extended anytime. People are dreaming about building home based business and it’s working.

But the thing is the guest blogging is one of the best things to get the attention of the different audience. But many bloggers don’t even think before they send a guest post request.

      Thanks for putting some light.
      Have a great day.
      ~Ravi

  6. Hello, Ravi!

Relationship building is so important task.

Not just for guest blogging purpose but to grow and be seen around the blogosphere.

I do see many bloggers who are mostly up on their own blogs and consuming their days and months just writing there.

Reaching out to the people in many senses is too necessary.

I am all up for the relationship building and finding my own voice that where I am good at.

And yes, I am the good fan of guest posting but have not done so due to some THINGS. ?

But they are not going to halt me in not doing it.

I do have plans and have started to work on it for sure. ?

So, thank you for an awesome one (as always) !!

    ~ Adeel
