If you’re a WordPress user then you should know that you can create your email list using the Jetpack plugin.

As you know, Email marketing is one of the most effective ways to drive traffic to your website. You can get more exposure, more clients, more sale through email marketing.

But with Jetpack, you can’t automate and design your emails. So, you would need to have a professional email service provider.

MailChimp is one of the leading email service providers. And if you want to transfer your email list from Jetpack to Mailchimp then it can be done within a minute.

Follow these steps to build a brand new email list in your MailChimp account.

Step 1:- Login to your WordPress admin panel and go to Jetpack>>Site Stats.

Step 2:- Scroll down and you will see “subscriptions” section. There will be two options. Blog and Comments. You have to choose the “Blog“.

Step 3:- After clicking on the “Blog”, you will see two lists of your subscribers. One list consists all the people who are following your blog on WordPress.com.

Another list is of the people who have directly signed up using your Jetpack subscription option. Choose the second list.

You can increase the number of the followers by adding the WordPress.com follow button to your blog.

Step 4:- There will be an option below the email list to download the CSV file. Just click on that and a new file will be downloading to your computer.

Step 5:- Login to your MailChimp account and open the “Lists“.

Step 6:- In the right corner, you will see a drop-down menu having the “import” option. Just click to that and choose the type of the file as CSV and upload the file you have downloaded from WordPress.

MailChimp will show you all the emails present in the list. You can even match it from Jetpack.

Can You Now Transfer Your Email List From Jetpack To MailChimp?

Isn’t that easy to accomplish this task? You just have to follow the above-mentioned steps and within a minute, you would be able to send a well-designed email from MailChimp.

  1. Hey Ravi,

Thanks for the simple guide. It is always better to move to a trusted email service provider. When I started blogging, I was using jetpack, but due to some limitations, I moved to MailChimp.

I had to figure it on my own, but now your article will help many new bloggers to properly transfer from Jetpack to MailChimp.

    1. Hey Shafi,

Jetpack is a useful plugin with many options but when you switch to the professional network then you would need to send the custom template with the emails.

MailChimp provides its users the freedom to design their own template. You just have to use the CSV file generated from the WordPress admin panel.

      Thanks for the support.
      Enjoy your day.

It’s up to you whether you choose MailChimp or any other platform. The main point is to download the file from the WordPress admin area.
