You can receive your professional email using this protocol on Gmail. POP3 is the latest version.
Whereas, SMTP stands for Simple Mail Transfer Protocol.
It is used to send the email from one server to another. When you add Webmail to Gmail then this protocol is used to send the email from your Gmail account with your professional email address.
Now, let me tell you how to link Webmail to Gmail account?
There are some steps you should follow to add Webmail to Gmail.
Step 1:- Login to your Gmail account and click on the gear on the right-top above your emails and go to settings.
Step 2:- After that, you have to click on the “Accounts and Import” option showing in the menu.
Step 3:- From all the options you have to find an option showing that you can check email from other accounts you own. Click on the option “Add a POP3 mail account you own”.
Step 4:- A pop-up box will open for you. In this box, you have to add the email you want to access from Gmail. The email you have created using your domain name should be filled here and click “next”.
Step 5:- Your email is showing in the upper line. Now you have to fill the username and the password of you email account. The POP server will be showing to you. You don’t need to fill it. It’s recommended to choose the SLL connection. After that click on “Add Account”.

Step 2:- Go to your Webmail account and copy the code and paste it and click on “verify”.
You have successfully added your Webmail email address to your Gmail account. You can see your Gmail email address and the email address you have just added in the list.

Hello Ravi,
I have been using all my emails in one Gmail by using this method. I first came to know about it in 2011 I think, and since then I have been using this and its really great to get all email at one place.
Nice post!
Hey Atish,
Webmail is quite slow and no one wants to login to another account to handle it. Gmail has many features to use. People should try to handle their all the email accounts using their Gmail account.
Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to say a few words.
Have a nice day.

Hi Ravi,
I appreciate this information, as it was something I wanted to do to secure my sender information on my autoresponder. Simply redirecting email back to Gmail gives a spam appearance and will hurt your autoresponder deliverability.
I followed your instruction, but when I tried to “Add Account” for POP3, got this…
Server returned error: “[AUTH] Authentication failed.”
No idea what that means. Maybe I’m putting in the wrong info at Username… do you use your email name or your personal name?
I’ll keep at it ?
Thanks for the training, my friend. I’m not very techie and can use all the help you offer!

Hey Donna,
You have to fill the email address and the password you want to connect with the Gmail account. In the whole procedure, you won’t need to fill your personal name. Whenever you are asked to fill the username and the password, just fill the credentials of your email you have created with your domain name.
If you want the details then after logging to the Webmail, you will see three services to choose. There will be many options below them showing the option to change the password and more. An option “Configure Mail client” will be there. Just click on that option and all the settings will be shown to you. You have to notice the manual settings.
And one thing is important, before connecting your email, you have to remove any forwarder if you have added for that email.
I hope it will work for you.
