Add PayPal Donate Button in WordPress Within a Minute

Just a couple of days ago, one of BloggingLove’s readers asked how to add a PayPal button in WordPress. You may have seen it on many websites.

People use the different types of donation buttons. Many developers are providing their services, products for free and they add a donate button so that people can share their love.

But for beginners, the biggest challenge is to add a PayPal donate button in WordPress because it seems too technical for them.

In this tutorial, you will learn the easiest method.

Start Adding the PayPal Donate Button Without Any Coding

No doubt that WordPress plugins are everything you need to run a perfect WordPress website.

There are thousands of plugins available in the WordPress repository right now. From which, you have to use PayPal Donations plugin.

If you don’t want to deal with the codes then you have to use this plugin.

Just install and activate it.

Once you do that, go to Settings>>PayPal Donations and you will see its configuration page. You can clearly see the field to add your PayPal account email address.

You can also add your Secure Merchant ID.

If you have created any custom page in your PayPal account then you can fill it. It’s optional so if don’t have any idea then leave it blank.

If you scroll more, you will see a few other fields where you can set an amount you want others to donate. Suppose you add $20 then it will get added by default whenever someone would donate.

You can add the reference, purpose, and select the donation button design.

You can use a small button, the bigger one or the one with all the cards referenced. The choice is yours. Once you do that, save the settings.

After that, go to Appearance>>Widgets and you will see a PayPal Donations widget. Just drag and drop it in the sidebar or the footer.

It’s easy to use and your PayPal donate button will be showing.

There are a few advanced settings of the plugin you would want to explore. You can even test the plugin by clicking on the button.

It will take you to a page where your email address will be mentioned so that people can know to whom they’re donating.

If you have added the default amount then it will be set automatically otherwise, people would be free to donate any amount.

    This one is something to keep ?

    I have been to many web site and notice that they have attached the paypal button to their site. This was something very rare for me. Now you have come up with this post, mentioning how to insert the paypal button on our word press site.

    I have not until planned to install the paypal button, but in future I will need this then I would be going through your post.
