Hi Ravi,
Very well written article with specification on both the technique manually and with the use of a plugin.
Well from last I am facing some problem on my blog, Whenever I am trying to share any articles on social media profile like Facebook, featured image not showing, I have tried every possible thing but issue not resolved yet.
Need you advise. Thank you
Hey Saurabh,
Whenever you share the content on the social media, the platforms search for the featured image. If not available, any other image present in the post is used.
The algorithm of every platform is quite different but the concept is the same. If you’re using Yoast SEO, you should add the featured image as the social sharing image from the meta section below the post.
Sometimes, Facebook doesn’t pick up the image because of the indexing. It takes a little bit of time.

Hey Philip,
Facebook has depreciated the older like box widget codes. Now, you have to use a plugin. Just search for the Facebook page widget plugin and you will get it from the WordPress directory.
Though there is an another way which requires the generation of the code from Facebook Developers’ page but a plugin is recommended.
~Ravi
Thank you Ravi for the timely reply.
