Hi Ravi, this one made me chuckle. Oh yes, been there and done that. I still once in a while stumble on a tech issue but I’ve learned to not give up! I’m happy when I am able to do something on my own and not wait for my tech support. (who is wonderful!)
There are so many things to be done with a blog you have to learn as much as you can. I’ve found Quora useful as well as Facebook groups and Google Plus in the past.
You are right too that this principle can be carried over to any part of our lives. I wish I knew how to change a tire by myself!

Great post! I used to be afraid of WordPress but I am learning. There are still something I dare not touch because I’m still not familiar with it.
I didn’t rely on people to save me but I did ask questions and made notes of the answer I got so that I knew what to do if a particular issue came up so I wouldn’t have to ask again. ?
What’s helped me is having a dummy site. I can play around with the settings, themes and not worry about messing up my blog. ?

Learning how to manage a WordPress blog and knowing how to deal with errors and problems is very important – when trying to build a successful blog online – but it is not necessary.
You can hire people to work on such problems for you. Of course, this will cost you money. If I had enough money to hire web developers, I would. But I also happen to be a web designer by trade.
If you can’t afford the help, you have to learn how to do it yourself. Working with the WordPress Platform is not hard, as you mentioned there is a lot of education on WordPRess for anyone to learn and grow.

WordPress is very intuitive and flexible CMS. You are absolutely right there are millions of tutorials and How to’s are available for WordPress and anybody can find it by searching it on Google or WordPress forum. Infact, I setup my first site, made some unpleasant errors, setup a new one and I’m now using the former to improve my skills.

I always work with a local site, whenever I am messing with anything new. I actually use a local host to write my blog posts and my guest posts.
It’s just much easier than working on my live site. Once I am done, I will push those new blog posts onto my live site.
It sounds like a little bit more work, but it’s really not. You’re right, setting up a local site makes sure that you never have to mess up your live site.
I used to use XAMPP but now I use Desktop Server and I really like it.

That’s one piece of super advice. Learning WordPress (and anything else crucial for your business) is essential for business success.
You cannot always wait for others to solve your issues or be dependent on others just because you are not willing to learn.
I learned WordPress and website designing just because I was always running into issues or questions when I started out – and each time reaching out to someone was time consuming.
So I started learning those stuff one by one and that lead to a expansion in my business – where I started offering services to help technically challenged bloggers!
