How To Add Tweets To Website Without Any plugin?

Have you ever seen the tweets embedded on any website’s post? Do you know how to add tweets to website? Most of the people like to use the plugins for everything in WordPress.

But here, I am going to show the simple way which can show tweets on your website just by using the Twitter code. Twitter provides the freedom to embed tweets anywhere on your website.

You can add tweets to website page, blog post, etc. In this tutorial, I am going to provide the ways to display any tweet with the image, GIF, or any kind of media.

Two Ways To Add Tweets To Website To Increase User Engagement.

First of all, login to your Twitter account and choose the tweet you want to add in your blog post. There are basically two ways.

Method 1. Click on the tweet and Twitter will take you to the tweet page. It means only one tweet will be showing to you. You just have to copy the URL from the browser and paste it in the HTML/Text editor of your post.

For every tweet, there is a different URL. The URL would be similar to this.

And the output would be.

The URL for your tweets would be different. You just have to copy it from the browser and paste it in the HTML editor of your blog post.

There is another way to add tweets to website.

Method 2. There is a “More/…” option below every tweet. Just click and you will see many options in the drop down menu. You have to click on the “Embed Tweet” option.

The tweet will open and there will be a code to copy. If you want don’t want to show the media then you can uncheck the checkbox shown below the code.

Copy the code and paste it in the WordPress HTML/Text post editor.

Isn’t That Easy To Add Tweets To Website?

You don’t need to deal with any plugin. Just copy and paste the code. It’s one of the easiest things for you. You can use the Twitter post’s code anywhere on your website.

If you want to show it to any page then just repeat the same procedure. Most of the time the checkbox to include the media would be checked.

A few people prefer to show just the tweet. So it won’t be hard for them you uncheck it. I hope now you can display tweets on website.

  4. Hi Ravi,

Thanks for sharing the simple methods of addind tweets to the blog posts. These methods are easily available but still whenever it comes to adding the tweets or anyother functionality to a wordpress website we start looking for a new plugin instead of an easier method to do so. Which eventually makes our websites slow to load.

In this post, you have silently taught a lesson that plugins are not a better solution always.

Thanks once again for the amazing post.

    1. Hey Shubhanshi,

Plugins aren’t always the solution for everything. Twitter is providing their official code which can be used to embed on your website.

I always prefer to go with the manual methods.

      Thanks for stopping by.

      Enjoy your dy.

      ~Ravi
